Alexander Kluge, Cinema Utopia

On September 22, Casa do Cinema Manoel de Oliveira resumes Alexander Kluge's cycle, Utopia do Cinema, developed in partnership with Cinemateca Portuguesa – Museu do Cinema, in a session where K by Kairosfilm and Todos os Sentimentos Creem Num Final Feliz - About Alexander Kluge will be screened.

The session presents an interview about the work of Alexander Kluge in which he reveals how the “base stories” are the love stories, and the “intensification” is the key to his work. It is a fragment of an unfinished documentary, whose interviewer is the French poet and documentary filmmaker Eric Sarner. The session continues with another documentary about the filmmaker directed by Angelika Wittlich. In it, Kluge is visited in his Munich apartment, which also houses a small studio used for the television programs he produces.
