From today, the 21st, until Saturday, the 23rd, Mercado do Bolhão is hosting the Easter Fair. This year, the event will feature six food-only stalls, as well as workshops, children's activities and musical shows, in a specific programme alluding to the season.

The temporary stalls promise to bring tradition through flavour to the market's visitors. There's artisanal 'pão de ló' made in a wood oven, products ranging from 'natas' to 'bolos de gema', bonbons with regional products honouring the city of Porto, classic Easter eggs and baskets, desserts and, a little more innovatively, doughnuts.

There will be a varied programme throughout the three days. Two workshops take place this Thursday (21st) and Friday (22nd): one dedicated to flower arrangements and the other to decorating the Easter table. The musical performance will take place on the 22nd and 23rd, with the Banda do Comando Metropolitano do Porto da PSP and the Grupo de Cordas do Rancho Regional de Gulpilhares, respectively. Finally, there's a programme for the whole family on Saturday (23rd), with the Egg Hunt and the 'Bonecos à Solta' show.

The Easter programme at Mercado do Bolhão continues after the fair closes. The Easter Concert takes place on the 26th and the market will be open on Good Friday, the 29th.

The Easter Fair takes place in the Gallery, on the top floor, from Thursday to Saturday, from 11am to 10pm.
