Porto and Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam) prepare cooperation agreement

The councillor for Finance, Economic Activities and Supervision and Economy, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Ricardo Valente, was, this morning, welcomed by the Deputy Director General of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Pham Dut Deim. This meeting allowed both cities to align some of the common objectives and prepare for the signing of the cooperation agreement between Porto and Ho Chi Minh, which shall take place in February of next year.

This meeting arose on the side lines of the Friendship Dialogue, a meeting of sister cities with cooperation agreements with Ho Chin Minh. It joins cities from around 20 countries and brings together dozens of participants at the same table, who will discuss subjects related to the theme “Resilient Adaptation for Recovery and Development”

It intends to promote friendship and cooperation between Ho Chi Minh and several other cities, especially from countries that are strategic partners of Vietnam, like Porto and Portugal.
