More than 13 thousand athletes will run the Porto Half Marathon

International and national elite athletes of the sport will take part in the 11th Edition of Porto Half Marathon. The race starts at 10 am by the river Douro and it will gather over 13 thousand runners, Professional and amateur athletes of different ages, from 41 countries. Kenian Emmanuel Mutai, the fourth fastest man in this sport. Also, Matkew Kisorio, from Kenya and Moroccan Aziz Lababi are some of the international headliners of Porto half marathon.

The competition begins in Avenida de Paiva Couceiro (under the Freixo bridge) and finishes by Garden of Cálem (Fluvial), covering 21 kilometres. There will be traffic constraints.

The national elite of athletes is represented by Rui Pedro Silva and Pedro Ribeiro (Sporting), Daniel Pinheiro and Vítor Oliveira (Mala AC) and Manuel Mendes (Vitória SC). 

Catarina Ribeiro, newly arrived Sara Moreira, and also Salomé Rocha, Vera Nunes (Benfica) and Doroteia Peixoto (Amigos da Montanha) are some of the headliners of female athletes in this race.

Those interested in participate can register at Customs Building, 15 and 16 September, between 10 am and 7 pm.
