Teatro Municipal do Campo Alegre will host a concert performed by the Bonjóia Youth Orchestra and the Muñoz Molleda Conservatory, next Friday, March 31st, starting at 7pm. Admission is free, and requires a ticket pick-up until the venue reaches full capacity.

The show is the result of the exchange which took place between September 6th and 11th 2022, where 22 students from the Bonjóia Youth Orchestra, accompanied by five teachers, participated in the IX Meeting of Muñoz Molleda Orchestras in the Spanish city of La Línea de la Concepción, under the scope of the MusicALL project, financed by POiSE - Social Inclusion and Employment Operational programme, with the Municipality of Porto playing the role of the social investor.

The two orchestras had a joint performance on September 9th of that year, with a concert at the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones in La Linea de La Conception in Spain, considered a landmark moment in the musical life of all those involved.

During this week (27-31 March 2023), the Curso de Música Silva Monteiro is hosting 40 students from the Muñoz Molleda Conservatory, returning the welcome and hospitality with which the Bonjóia Youth Orchestra was given in Spain.

Bonjóia Youth Orchestra was created in 2011 as a result of the work developed under the project "Música para Todos" implemented by the Municipality of Porto since 2010, in partnership with the Curso de Música Silva Monteiro and the schools of Cerco do Porto.

The creation of the Bonjóia Youth Orchestra is considered a success story that demonstrates the quality of the work that is developed within the scope of this project, allowing artistic visibility to its elements, namely students from different public and private schools, coming from diverse socio-cultural backgrounds.
