Cape Verdean delegation comes to learn about municipal policies and practices in the area of sports

The Mayor of Porto, accompanied by the municipal Councillor for Sports and Youth, Catarina Araújo, received this Tuesday, at the City Hall, a Cape Verdean delegation headed by Jassira Monteiro, Mayor of Santa Catarina (Santiago Island). The delegation came to Porto to learn about the municipality's policies and good practices in the area of sports.

Rui Moreira and his counterpart Jassira Monteiro exchanged views on Porto City Council's strategies for promoting sports in the city, and Catarina Araújo listed a series of programmes and support developed in this area.

On Monday, the delegation had the opportunity to visit Ágora, the municipal company responsible for sports in the city, as well as various municipal sports facilities. These include the works to extend and improve some areas of the Ramalde Sports Park / Inatel, with stops at the main court, the athletics track and the Skate Park.
