CAMPUS Paulo Cunha e Silva has opened applications for artistic and technical residencies

Applications for the programme of Artistic Residencies of CAMPUS Paulo Cunha e Silva will be open until the 31st of March. There are 18 artistic residencies and three technical residencies available for the 2023/2024 season.

The Artistic Residencies programme made by Campus Paulo Cunha e Silva targets professional artists and companies in the fields of dancing, theatre, contemporary circus, animated forms and disciplinary intersections.

Aiming to select 18 artistic projects locally, nationally and internationally, it estimates residencies with a full duration of three consecutive weeks per project, in a total of 54 weeks of occupation.

The jury responsible for the assessment of the proposals is composed by Cristina Planas Leitão and Drew Klein, artistic co-directors of the Performing Arts Department of Ágora – Culture and Sport, by Vânia Rodrigues, cultural manager and researcher, and by António Pedro Lopes, artist, cultural programmer, and curator.

Meanwhile there will be three technical residencies, which will be in Teatro Campo Alegre and are meant for local, national and international artists with the duration of one to two weeks and favouring works in the final stages of completion prior to the premiere.

In this case, the jury is composed by Cristina Planas Leitão, Drew Klein, Jonathan Uliel Saldanha, musician and visual artist, and Wilma Moutinho, lighting designer.

All applications must be submitted until 5:59 pm of the 31st of March and the announcement of the results will be sent on the 12th of May.
