The Feast of Saint Bartholomew is still going ahead but in a different way

Following all the preventive pandemic measures, Porto will honour St Bartholomew, the Patron Saint of great miracles with a small scale paper parade, on 23rd August, to mark this tradition in Foz do Douro.

Two art exhibitions to see at the Porto Municipal Gallery before the week ends

You have until this coming Sunday, 16th August to visit both exhibitions that are currently on display at Porto Municipal Gallery. The exhibits "Máscaras (Masks)" and "Apesar de não estar, estou muito", explore different art creations and offer something for the curious visitor.

Visit the Water Pavilion in Porto: free entry to children every Thursday and Friday

The Water Pavilion offers one free tickets for children up to 12 years old, when purchasing another adult ticket. This offer is valid for Thursdays and Fridays. Children under four years of age are always granted free entry, as usual.

Porto Municipal Theatre launches season ticket packages for six dance performances

Before the season official launch on 8th September, the Municipal Theatre of Porto provides subscriptions for six dance performances by renowned national and international dancers, namely Marlene Monteiro Freitas and Jérôme Bel.

Porto Planetarium - Living Science Centre invites for a month in space

Porto Planetarium - Living Science Centre offers out of this world experiences this August, with six types of different immersive experiences, from Tuesdays to Sunday. Sessions kick off at 4pm up to 26 people at a time. The Planetarium is closed on Mondays.

Choose your walking trail in Porto and discover the city while improving your fitness

The motto is "Uma caminhada à descoberta da cidade", which goes like this in English: "A walk to discover the city", and it refers to an initiative by the municipal company Ágora and Runporto to provide five kilometre journeys through Porto each weekend, with journeys at 10am and at 10.30am. The goal is to walk through iconic places in the city while improving one's fitness. The first walk is set for 9th August. It sounds good, right?

Clérigos Tower is open for night tours this August

Up for a night adventure? During August, there are daily visits to Clérigos Tower past sunset, till 9pm (last entrance at 8.30pm). Torre dos Clérigos reopened doors on 30th May, following a two-month lockdown period. All the Covid-19 preventive measures are in place, namely occupancy capacity, mandatory use of face masks and hand sanitation.

"Noites do Palácio" are remarkable from every angle
