This year's theme for the Night Race in the City Park of Porto is all about superheroes and comic books. If you happen to come across Super Woman, Batman, Captain Marvel or Thor at the City Park, on 27 July, around 9.30pm, don't worry; it is Night Race in the Park, an annual event that features a side of fantasy, as the goal is to combine sports and fun. Applications are open.

The Dragão Stadium, in the city of Porto, was selected to host a match between international teams, and the premiere will be between the Brazilian squad and the Panama Football team.

Porto City Hall programme "Domingos em Forma" ["Fit Sundays", free translation] provides stress relive activities so as to promote physical exercise and healthy life habits. This municipal programme is supported by Porto Lazer and it starts on 6 January. Participation is free.

This is the silver jubilee of the São Silvestre in Porto. The race will happen on 30 December and gathers 15 thousand participants of 37 nationalities. The race is part of the Christmas and New Years' Eve programming and it is organised by Runporto, with the support of Porto City Hall. As tradition, the Municipality has prepared a special plan regarding mobility issues, in order to ensure the necessary safety conditions. Authorities advise using public transport to head to downtown Porto.

S. Silvestre in Porto will be held on 30 December, and the starting pistol is set for 6 pm. This is the 25th edition of the race that marks its silver jubilee. Also, winners of previous races will be honoured during the event.

It took Portuguese athlete Rosa Mota 22:02' to win the 5.200 metres Macau Mini-Marathon, 30 years after conquering the Olympic Gold Medal in Seoul, in South Korea.

S. Silvestre in Porto is the competition that gathers the largest number of participants in the country and the 25th edition of this race is scheduled for 30 December. Registrations are open.

Over 16 thousand athletes will take part in the EDP Porto Marathon, for the first time debuting the Bronze Label Road Race. The starting pistol is set to 9 am, on 4 November, by Sealife Porto. The finish line is at Queimódromo (Porto City Park).

The EDP Porto Marathon, which will take place on 4 November, was granted the Bronze Label Road Race by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). For those who take their love of running international, Porto is now officially considered one of the best races in the Marathon World Circuit.

The Minigolf European Cup, aka Minigolf Champions' League, is running in Porto from 4 to 6 October. The teams that are competing in this event are the club teams who achieved the highest place of the podium of the National Team Championship in each national federation, as well as the cupholders of the previous year.
