The piano festival that makes Porto go round

Porto PianoFest festival is back in town from 1 till 9 August. On 6, 7 and 8 August, promising pianists will show their worth at the Rectory of the University of Porto, taking to the stage in the framework of the "Young Talents' Recital. These events are entrance free and start at 7.30pm.

The festival presents concerts and recitals by "Piano Masters" for the public at large, in several locations in Porto, featuring renowned pianists, namely José Ramón Mendez, from the North-western University, in Chicago, Mariel Mayz, from Hunter College, in New York, Nuno Marques, Director of Porto PianoFest, and Judith Jáuregui, as well.

On an annual basis, Porto PianoFest offers the city of Porto a varied programme of exhibitions, such as concerts and recitals, and sponsors young piano students with masterclasses and lectures by renowned artists.
