People's Choice voted Porto City Park among the World top 5 favourite Green Flag Award parks

World top 5 favourite Green Flag Award parks have been announced and Porto City Parks is one of them. The People's Choice voted the City Park of Porto as a major Green Flag park, over 45,000 votes cast at world level.

Bear in mind that the list announced is in alphabetical order!

Portugal has joined the "Green Flag" scheme in 2019 as Porto demonstrated its commitment to maintaining high quality public spaces.

There are currently a total of 2096 green spaces that have gained this recognition of excellence at world level and 14 countries included in the "Green label scheme", namely Portugal, Australia, Belgium, UK, Finland, Germany, Mexico, Holland, New Zealand, Scotland and Sweden.

This international award represents the joint efforts by the Municipality of Porto towards rehabilitating and renovating green spaces in the city, with high standards of management, maintenance and ease of access.
