Conceptional affordable housing projects are launched in Porto

Tenders for conceptional affordable housing projects for Lordelo do Ouro were published today in the Diário da República, about one week after the Executive Meeting took place, where the proposition was unanimously approved. 

The town-planning survey provides for intervention in municipal plots of land, which includes public space actions as well as the construction of five blocs housing buildings, and the availability of another 300 dwellings for the market housing at an affordable price.

In total, there are now three tenders, i.e., urbanization works, public space and landscaping, regarding the renaturation of ribeira da Granja section, rehabilitation and development of new roads; the other two tenders are the building of five residential lots. Municipal investment is 46 million euros.

Bids must be submitted not later than 100 days after the publication of this notice in the Official Journals (Diário da República and Official Journal of the European Union).

Winners will be given a prize worth 15 thousand euros (and the award of the public contract). Two runners-up will be granted 10 thousand and 5 thousand euros, respectively.

If doable, there will be two special mentions worth 500 euros each.
