Casa das Artes invites for Beethoven concert on 21st February

Casa das Artes, in Porto, features a Beethoven concert, under the cycle "À Sexta com Beethoven" ["Fridays with Beethoven", free translation]. Entrance is free but subject to room capacity.

The event presents five concerts by Duo Tramma-Facchini, in the scope of the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827). The performance includes the full Sonatas for "Klavier und Violin" (piano and violin), with the extraordinary participation of composer Cândido Lima, who will present the ten Sonatas, divided in five concerts.

Ludovico Tramma, violinist, and Fiammetta Facchini, pianist, also celebrate their twenty years of activity as a Duo.

Both musicians hold a PhD by the University of Aveiro in Music, Performance segment. They also hold degrees in Italy, namely the Violin, Viola and Chamber Music (Ludovico) and Piano, Clove and Chamber Music (Fiammetta).

They have performed in several countries in Europe, Canada, USA, United Arab Emirates, South America, and Japan.

They were awarded numerous Chamber Music performance prizes, both national and international and they have recorded three CDs.

Currently they are organising another CD release and a tour through the Middle East. Both musicians are Higher education teachers in Italy, although the Duo Tramma- Facchini lives in Portugal.
