There are several reasons why theatre has been around for so long and one of them is certainly seeing the world from other perspectives. Such is the case of the performance “Os Três Irmãos”, by Victor Hugo Pontes and an original text by Gonçalo M. Tavares.

On 19th April, cinema aficionados will be given free rein to enjoy some of the most memorable films by American director Joseph Losey.

Porto Municipal Theatre takes to the online stage the premieres of the works “If only this was about food + Cor de burro quando foge”, on 9th April, at 9 pm – transmitted on Facebook & Youtube TMP. The performances are available on 10th and 11th April, through the BOL Live Streaming, for 48 hours.

Bring a little joy to your winter evenings with the cycle “Quintas de Leitura”, at the digital stage of Porto Municipal Theatre (TMP), with the celebration of the work by poets Filipa Leal and João Habitualmente. This session is available starting at 10 pm, on 11th February, at TMP online.

TMP’s online programming of the coming weeks includes the premiere of "F…" by the company theatre Estrutura; a new session of “Quintas de Leitura”, the streaming of the Understage cycle and a virtual meeting between the Teatro Experimental do Porto and the Chilean company Teatro La Maria.

This weekend, on 12 and 13 December, Porto Municipal Theatre (TMP) presents the fourth edition of Foco Famílias. This is an online event, suitable to the ongoing circumstances and a rather creative way to welcome families to TMP’s celebration of leisure time with our loved ones. The weekend activities come in all shapes, as it brings along performances to enjoy as a family, recipes to make the mouth water, dance and even talking over the phone with a giant sloth.

The latest project by Jonathan Uliel Saldanha, "Mercúrio Vermelho" debuts his latest work at the Rivoli, on 10, 11, 12 and 13 December. This will be the starting point of the new collaboration between the artists and Porto Municipal Theatre (TMP), which will extend for the 2020/21 and the 2021/22 seasons.
