The Puppet Theatre "A Tarumba" features the performance "Este não é o nariz de Gógol..." (This is not Gógol's nose?), 21 October in Rivoli. The show is based on Gógol's world (reminiscente of Godot) and Jacques Prévert. The play takes place in a kitsch ambiance, which relies on paper jointed figures and objects to translate the surreal and absurd world we live in.

Harry Dean Stanton, American actor, musician, and singer, with a career that spanned over six decades, will be honoured at Teatro Rivoli, by Medeia Filmes, 10 October, starting at 6.30 pm.

Marcelo Evelin "Dança Doente" 6 and 7 October at Rivoli Grand Auditorium

Rivoli Grand Auditorium MO will play host to Performance "Dança Doente" by Brazilian choreographer, Marcelo Evelin. The reputed dance and company Demolition Incorporada feature a performance that contextualizes Hijikata Tatsumi's dance, butoh's master, a dance of Japanese origin and presented as a reaction to western contemporary dance of the time together with Brazilian rhythms.

Queer Porto - International Queer Film Festival from 4 to 8 October at Rivoli

Queer Porto - International Queer Film Festival, in its third Edition, is already a consolidated cultural event in Porto's cultural rentrée. The festival features, as usual, a multidisciplinary programming, offering the best there is regarding different methods and interpretations of queer culture.

Porto plays host to 1st Edition of BEAST from 21 to 24 September

Porto hosts the debut of BEAST - International Film Festival, between 21 and 24 September. The opening session is scheduled for 21 September at 9.30 pm in Rivoli, with the national premiere of "All These Sleepless Nights", by Michal Marczak, a cinematographic work ranging from fiction to documentary, portraying the life of two young art students through Warsaw's night.

New York's best drummer plays at Rivoli's understage

New York's best drummer, according to "The Village Voice" in 2011, Greg Fox will perform at Rivoli's understage, 15 September at 11 pm. Greg Fox is a multidisciplinary artist, and teacher. He has released about 50 records since 2008, and has worked with names as Liturgy, ZS, Ben Frost, Colin Stetson, Skeletons, Hieroglyphic Being, Man Forever, among others.

Piano concert with João Teixeira at IAC, in Rivoli, 16 September

Young pianist João Teixeira will be on stage at IAC Auditorium, in Rivoli at 5 pm, on 16 September. João Teixeira has already been awarded in several competitions in Portugal and Spain. He started playing the piano at the age of 11.

Nocturnal Dances completes Christian Rizzo's trilogy

The Municipal Theatre New season starts on 15 September featuring "Le Syndrome Ian", the last of Christian Rizzo's trilogy that revolves around different dance typologies. Now, the Director of the Centre Chorégraphique National de Montpellier is back in Rivoli with "Le Syndrome Ian" to conclude this trilogy, with a focus on nocturnal dances.
