The auditorium at Campo Alegre Theatre premières the film "Yojimbo", on 24th September, under the cinema cycle devoted to the filmography by renowned Japanese director Akira Kurosawa.

"A small town in the North of Tokyo lives under the rule of two gangster groups: one of them protects the silk merchants and the other the sake traders. A mercenary samurai, Sanjuro Kuwabatake, sells its services to both rival gangs and sees the destruction of both enemies. However, the arrival of Unosuke, brother to one of the rival leaders, with a fire weapon, the only one in the entire region, will change the odds."

It is worth mentioning that actor Toshirô Mifune was awarded the Volpi Cup prize at the Venice Film festival in 1961 and that the film was nominated to the 1962 Oscars, for best Costumes.
