Urban Art goes on display at the Parque das Águas

This Saturday happens another session of the Jardim da Água, which marks the start of the urban art at the Parque das Águas. The event kicks off at 10 am and concludes at 5 pm. The programme also includes a visit to the site, delivered by Professor Germano Silva.

During the next months, three artists in the city will leave their marks in the murals of the garden, always with water, energy and biodiversity. The inauguration is delivered by Hazul, the artist from Porto, with the work “Arca da Água”.

This event is promoted by the municipal company Águas e Energia do Porto and relies on a guided tour (previous registration is mandatory) by Professor Germano Silva, who will lead visitors to a historic journey through the gardens of the Parque das Águas. Mercado da Água

Throughout the days, the Mercado da Água is in place, with stands and stalls that sell unique handmade products.

The Jardim da Água is a monthly initiative, with an active and regular programming, whose goal is to bring together the population to the Parque das Águas, the green area in the west part of the city.

The safety measures in place include the mandatory use of a face mask, taking of temperature at the entry point, compliance with the established roadmaps, respecting social distancing and hand sanitation.

The event runs from 10 am to 5 pm with entrance free and parking availability at the Águas do Porto client parking, for the duration of the event. The metro station of Heroísmo and Campanhã are in the vicinities.

“Arca da Água” by Hazul

The inauguration of the “Arca da Água” muralo painting, by Hazul Luzah, in the back wall of the logistic warehouse is next to the picnic park, in the Parque das Águas, at 4.30 pm.
