Two natural ice rinks for Christmas in Porto

The city will have two active natural ice rinks: from December 1 to January 8, one in Mouzinho de Albuquerque Square (aka Rotunda da Boavista) and another in  Praça da Batalha.

As has been the tradition in recent years at Christmas in Porto, children and grown-ups will be able to cheer up, snow playing and risking a pirouette in the ice rinks. 

In the Rotunda da Boavista, fantasy square will have, as last year, two interconnected natural ice rinks, one indoor and another outdoor. 

In addition to the ice rinks, other entertainments, like an ice ramp, carousels, traditional games, 5D Cinema and even a Santa's House will be available to the public. 

Across the city, Praça da Batalha will have a 300 square meters indoor ice rink and also carousels. 

Integrated into the strategy for revitalising traditional trade, the City Hall and the Porto Traders Organisation will distribute 20,000 gift vouchers to downtown and Boavista city merchants to be offered to their customers during Christmas season.

Each voucher allows free access to one of these ice rinks for a period of 20 minutes.

ICE RINKS IN ROTUNDA BOAVISTA

Dates: December 1, 2016 to January 8, 2017

Timetables:

     - Monday to Friday: 10 am to 10 pm

     - Saturday and Sunday: 10 am to 11 pm

     - December 25 and January 1: from 2.30 pm to 7 pm

     - December 24 and 31: from 10 am to 4 pm

Tickets: 

    - 20 minutes: 3 euros

    - 60 minutes: 5 euros

 

ICE RINK IN PRAÇA DA BATALHA

Dates: December 1, 2016 to January 8, 2017

Timetables:

    - Sunday to Thursday: from 09.30 am to 11 pm

     - Friday, Saturday and holiday eves: from 09.30 to 01 hours

     - December 24: 09.30 am to 7 pm

     - December 25: from 14,30 pm to 7 pm

Tickets: 

- 20 minutes: 3,5 euros

- 60 minutes: 5 euros
