Owing to the pandemic, the summit, exclusively organised by the Federação Académica do Porto - FAP, takes to a virtual platform. The event is free and it is held on 25th, 26th and 27th November.

The summit, which is entirely organised by students and takes on an online format for the first time ever, will debate the role of Humans, Machines and the Planet as the umbrella theme. The list of speakers includes the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Manuel Heitor, and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Action, João Matos Fernandes, Elisa Ferreira, the European Commissioner for Energy, André de Aragão Azevedo, the State Secretary for Digital Transition, Pedro Duarte of Microsoft, Luís Antunes, of the Centre of Competence for Cybersecurity and Privacy of the University of Porto, Helena Martins, of Google, and many other experts.

The summit’s main goal is to debate the ten technological challenges of the next decade, such as E-skills, Digital Ethics, Augmented Creativity, Artificial Intelligence, Industry 4.0, Digital Health, Digital Single Market, Smart Cities, Sustainability and entrepreneurship.

The Tomorrow Summit 2020 is held on an online platform, available at https://tomorrowsummit.fap.pt/, and it is the opportunity not only to meeting people from different areas, networking and sharing knowledge and best practices but also to come up with fresh perspectives on how to dwell and deal with the above listed challenges for the decade ahead.

Also, the summit enables an innovation ecosystem by bringing together members of the Academia, entrepreneurs, investors, businesspeople and decision makers. Participants can attend and take part, trough virtual rooms, in workshop sessions and thematic meetups.

In addition, entrepreneurs will be able to share ideas and solutions via a virtual network channel and directly contact with investors and businesspeople, and even meet in a virtual business mentoring space.

This is the third edition of the Tomorrow Summit, organised by FAP.
