Porto Municipal Theatre moved the schedule forward and the in-person presentation of the show “Postcards from Vietnam”, by Raimund Hoghe, is set for today, Thursday, at 7.30 pm, at Rivoli. The session was due to go on stage on 15th January, but owing to the lockdown issued by the Portuguese Government, that will not be possible.

The show “Canzone Per Ornella”, also by Raimund Hoghe, deemed one of the most prominent names in the dance scene today, was presented yesterday, at Rivoli, and today, 14th January, at 7.30 pm, it is time for “Postcards from Vietnam” to be presented. The play is delivered by two performers, who work closely with the German playwright and choreographer, Raimund Hoghe: Takashi Ueno and Ji Hey Chung.

The plot revolves around postcards, depicting people and landscapes from Vietnam that are found in a street stall in Paris. Hoghe imagines those reminiscences with songs of protest of the 1960’s, the time of the Vietnam War, or with arias by Bach and Handel.

Viewers with tickets can attend the session today 14th January. The ticket also enables access to the online session that will be streamed on 15th January, starting at 7.30 pm, and which is available for a 24 hour period.
