The U.Porto (CDUP-UP) launches the initiative “Experiências Outdoor" this December, with sports activities such as Skate, Golf and Tennis. All sessions are held outdoors, in compliance with ongoing safety measures. Applications are open.

The pandemic has transformed the way people do things; one of such things is the impact on sports and an active lifestyle. The University of Porto features many activities that people can enjoy with compliance to physical distancing.

Going out and give it a go to the sports we always wanted to try out, but never actually had the opportunity or the will to do so, this is what the Sports Centre of the University of Porto is offering: the “Experiências Outdoor da U.Porto” is here to help boost active living within the entire academic community.

Each session takes about one hour, and it is limited to 10 people at a time. Students, teachers, staff, researchers and alumni of the UP will be able to break out of the routine and start practising sports activities again, together and with plenty of physical distance.

The outdoor experiences kick off on 3rd December with Skate. The session is scheduled to begin at 2pm, at the Inatel Skate Park. Applications conclude on 29th November.

Golf is the second experience on offer, set for 10th December, at 3pm, at the City Golfe. Applications conclude on 6th December.

The Outdoor Experiences conclude with Tennis, on 17th December, at 11am, at the University Stadium. Applications are running till 14th December.

Each “experience” costs 15 euros, for UP students, and 20 euros for the rest of the UP community.

These experiences are presented as introductory sessions to the sports activities, to all age groups and to those who have never tried the sports proposed.
