Three thousand WordPress experts meet at Super Bock Arena – Pavilhão Rosa Mota

The biggest technological event of the WordPress community brings the city about three thousand experts worldwide. With the support of the Municipality of Porto, the 10th edition of WordCamp Europe takes place on 2, 3 and 4 June at the Super Bock Arena – Pavilhão Rosa Mota.

Programmers, marketers, designers, content creators and entrepreneurs from 90 countries meet in Porto for three days of sessions and conferences on WordPress, one of the most used platforms in the world for building websites.

According to the organization, “in this WordCamp participate the largest companies that work in the creation and management of content and their employees, as well as individuals, from the most experienced programmers to the interested in WordPress and the world of development and website building”.

The event has the support of big companies like Google, Hostinger, Pagely, cPanel, Plesk, or Jetpack and is also attended by Matt Mullenweg, creator of the content management systems for the Internet used by large websites like the White house, BBC America and, in Portugal, Grupo Imprensa that, “after a serious cyber-attack on their systems, used WordPress to publish articles from Expresso and SIC Notícias in a few hours”.

On June 3 at the headquarters of Associação Nacional de Jovens Empresários, the Municipality of Porto promotes a reception for members of the organization, speakers, executives or representatives of delegations, members of the Global Team Leads.
