The third IRR truck left Fridya afternoon from the Batalhão de Sapadores Bombeiros (BSB) towards the border with Poland. The 16 tons of collected goods will be, after, sent to the Ukrainian cities of Kharkiv and Lviv. The transport had, this time, the support of Pingo Doce.

This shipment left the headquarters of BSB of Porto, a place that has been used for storing and packaging the goods collected in the city. This time, the truck took medicines, non-perishable food, clothes, and other articles.

Remember that, at the beginning of the invasion, the Mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira, wrote a letter to his counterpart in Kharkiv, with whom the Invicta has a cooperation agreement.

“On behalf of myself and the citizens of Porto, I want to tell you, Mr Mayor, that we are united. I strongly condemn this violation of International Law and express full solidarity with the country, our sister city of Kharkiv, and the people of Ukraine”, you can read in the letter that Rui Moreira addressed to his counterpart in the Ukrainian city, Ihor Terekhov.

The “We are all Ukraine” campaign, promoted by the municipalities of Porto, Vila Nova de Gaia and Matosinhos, aims coordinate responses and organize events to help the Ukrainian people. There is a website available (www.somostodosucrania.pt) and a helpline, with the number 222 090 420, where it is possible to check the areas in which the community can join this action, namely: collection of goods, reception of refugees, job and services exchanges.
