The brand "Porto." was launched on 29th September 2014. In just two years, the brand conceived by designer Eduardo Aires, art director of the White Studio, is internationally recognised and has already received some of the most prestigious design awards worldwide.
"Porto." not only embodies the corporate identity of the City Hall of Porto and its municipal companies, but also the identity of the city. It is quoted and recognized worldwide. The brand was awarded with a "Graphis Awards" in 2016, one of the highest design and branding distinctions in the world, and a 'Silver Graphis Award" in the Print Branding category.
The "Graphis Awards" are awarded annually by the Graphis publishing company, based in New York, editing all directories with the most relevant accomplishments in graphic arts worldwide and reward the best of design, photography, illustration and advertising.
The brand "Porto." had already won one D&ED Awards pencil in London and the double gold at the European Design Awards in Istanbul - in the categories of brand implementation and prize for the best work of the year in all "Best of Show" categories.
The EDAwards 2017, an organization that annually awards the best of Design in Europe, will be held in Porto.
Also the Brandemia Awards, which annually distinguish the best brands and Ibero-American agencies chose "Porto." as Best Brand created in 2014. More recently it was featured on the South Korean Design 459 magazine, which devotes a special issue to building city brands.
