The most sought out University in the country welcomes new students tomorrow

Among all Portugal's Universities, the University of Porto is the University with the highest demand rate. This Thursday, the incoming students will be greeted at the Welcoming Session to New Students. 

Over five thousand students (4 thousand of which are first-year students - "caloiro" in Portuguese) will initiate their academic courses in more than 14 Faculties from U.Porto.

It should be highlighted that U.Porto leads the number of academic degrees with the highest grade for application.

According to Sebastião Feyo de Azevedo, the Rector of the University of Porto, "the highest levels of demand rate show that in all areas of expertise, a Porto University Diploma means more than just a piece of paper, it means competence and ability, which is extremely relevant both for domestic and international job markets."

September 14, U.Porto will have full house, starting at 2 pm to welcome the new students. The event, themed "Hello Future" will take place at Praça Gomes Teixeira (next to Clérigos), by the Rectory.

Under this initiative, the incoming students will be invited to visit iconic places in the city.
