The Museu da Farmácia, aka Pharmacy Museum in Porto offers a St John special celebration activity, namely the histories, facts and trivia on such deities who served many functions, most notably god of kingship like Horus, or Pheidippides, the central figure in the story that inspired the marathon race, or even Saints Cosmas and Damian, twin Arab physicians in the town Cyrrhus, and early Christian martyrs.

Did you know that the word “saint” is derived from the word sanctus, which means holy?

Learn more about saints and faith with a visit to the Museu da Farmácia. The visit last about one hour. Price ranges from 6 euros, while students and senior citizens pay 4 euros. The activity is limited to 10 people.
