Over three months, the theme of carbon neutrality has been under the spotlight, due to the Climate Pact, in a round of talks where climate change and the challenge of decarbonisation in Porto were debated, on a weekly basis, in the Porto Innovation Hubb, and that gathered more than 500 participants and 40 speakers.

In each of the 10 sessions, the formula was consistent: a moderator led the conversation between several speakers, specialists in different themes, in a healthy share of good practices, ideas and ambitions about the session’s topic, inspiring the present members and giving some clues about the path forward.

Decentralised and clean energy, sustainable mobility, construction decarbonisation, circular food system, involvement of the community, carbon sequestration, challenges of a fair transition, importance of data, financing and neutral base solutions were the themes of different sessions where different relevant figures from academia, entrepreneur sector, public organisations and sectorial associations gathered for the discussion.

The sessions, open to the public, were marked by the dynamic interaction between speakers and audience, always challenging with suggestions, questions, or comments about the themes. The interest of the audience demonstrates the importance of the theme for civil society and is noticeable by the growing number of subscribers of the Pact, on a personal level.

The Ciclo de Conversas is available on the website of Porto Climate Pact, with videos of the sessions as well as in podcast format in the main platforms.
