Get your information right with the support of the students of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP), under the “Ciência em 3 minutos” [“three minutes of Science”, free translation] project. The purpose is to counter the level of misinformation battling for people’s attention on social media.

A group of young Portuguese researchers, two of which are linked to the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP) have launched the “Ciência em 3 minutos” project. It is available on YouTube, and it is delivered in five episodes/videos, with the goal of fighting misinformation or even the lack of information on the new coronavirus, by providing “clear and precise scientific information”, as stated by Dora Dias and Joana Pinto, PhD students in the field of Teaching and Dissemination of Sciences, and also the former first-cycle in Astronomy by the FCUP, in a press release by the institution.

These videos also address the latest developments of the pandemic in Portugal and in the world, referring to issues as vaccines, Covid tests and confinement”

The project is available on YouTube and on social media related to “The Non-Conformist Scientist”, namely Facebook and Instagram.
