Following Easter Sunday, STCP, the Porto Bus company, resumes 100% running of services on working days, effective as of 5th April. This measure follows the easing of the lockdown measures, regarding working days. STCP services will maintain timetable restrictions on weekends, with the Bus Company offering the “Contingency Timetable”.

Already in March, STCP had resumed 18% of service operations. The company states that “the 100% resuming of services on working days is in line with the gradual increase in passenger numbers, which is expected to be further intensified as other measures of the easing of the lockdown are implemented”.

It is worth highlighting that starting on 5th April, in-person class resume for the lower secondary education, as well as the reopening of social and cultural facilities and shops up to 200 m2 with an outdoor entrance, fairs, and markets for non-food products, terraces and low risk sports activities.

Back on track are also the historic trams, with lines 1 (Infante - Passeio Alegre), 18 (Circular Massarelos – Carmo) and 22 (Circular Carmo – Batalha) resuming service. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, electric trams stop running at 1 pm, according to the weekend restrictions in place.

STCP enhances that “all preventive measures remain in place”, namely the two third maximum capacity in each vehicle, mandatory use of face masks, safety distancing, and hand disinfection. Also, payments by electronic card are advised.
