The first selected projects in the scope of the 2021 Shuttle municipal programme are revealed.

Within the four working areas of the Shuttle programme, the eight projects selected by the jury – members of the jury are Luís Albuquerque Pinho, Mara Andrade and Marta Ângela – include: Visual Arts and Curatorship, “LEONORANA, “Environments” — CCA-NTU Singapore” by Isabel Carvalho, “Aleixo Memorabilia” by Paulo Moreira and “Bande à Part 2 — Arte, Cidade e Paisagem” by Nuno Brandão, which is also inscribed in the Literary Translation and Essay Writing, and the project “Venus flytrap - uma re-investida” by Odete. The Performance and Musical Composition encompasses the projects “2182 kHz” by Francisca Gonçalves, “Iterative Cast” by Gaspar Cohen and “Jonathan Saldanha | HHY | Lithium” by Jonathan Saldanha, and the Performing Arts includes “Pin Dor Ama: Primeira Lição” by Dori Nigro and Paulo Pinto.

These projects are supported following their approval, during the Executive Meeting, on 5th April, out of 20 applications submitted during the programme’s first phase, which concluded last 5th February. This is Shuttle’s fourth edition.

Shuttle includes an increase in the available budget, with a budget strengthening of 75 thousand euros. The call for proposals is ongoing until October 2021.

The outline goal is to promote Porto’s artistic scene at international level, namely projects by artists and cultural agents based in the city of Porto, who are granted stipends between 1500 and 7500 euros.

Shuttle’s second phase of call for projects is ongoing until 4th June; and the third and last phased of the call for applications runs until 1st October. Applications should be submitted to the email plaka@agoraporto.pt.

Shuttle was established in 2018 and has already supported 40 projects, available for consultation at the Pláka platform.
