Until October 16, is possible to climb to the top of Torre dos Clérigos at night and admire, in an almost 360 degrees view, the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia and the river that joins them.

The Clérigos by Night initiative takes place between 7 and 11 pm, packed with events, which start at 4 pm, when the bells ring out the “Ode to Joy” from Ludwig Van Beethoven’s 9th symphony.

Later, at 6 pm, the show “Spiritus”, a 30-minute video mapping event, created by the OCubo studio for the Irmandade dos Clérigos, begins, while next door, visits to the Torre dos Clérigos take place between 7 and 11 pm.

Every 30 minutes, groups with a maximum of 35 people go up to avoid risks of contagion. Visits are priced at five euros, with the last one of each night scheduled for 10,30 pm.

“After two years of great difficulties for everyone, you can feel the pulse of Porto again, with tourists once again filling the city´s street. We are registering inflows at the level of 2019, which drives us to resume in the Church and in the Tower some of the moments of greatest public participation, as is the case of Clérigos by Night”, explains, in a statement, Manuel Fernando, president of Irmandade dos Clérigos.
