The 16th edition of Hyundai Half Marathon will be back the 17th of September and will once again connect the two cities of Atlantic Front, Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia, in a course which goes through the Luís I Bridge. Registrations for this athletic event have opened and can be done at the Runporto page until the 12th of September.

After the 2022 edition, in which construction work in the bridge’s lower deck led the marathon to be held entirely in Porto, this year’s half marathon edition will once again go over the Douro River into the other bank.

The 21-kilometre course will encompass the two riverside banks of the two cities, from Avenida de Dom Carlos I, next to Jardim do Passeio Alegre, up to Afurada, in Gaia.

It is of note that the Avenida de D. Carlos I will be the starting and arrival point. Other than the main event, as it is usual, Porto Half Marathon includes a more accessible 5-kilometre course destined to families, friends and all those who wish to participate and hang. Registrations can be done at the Runporto page until the 12th of September or until the limit number of participants is reached.
