Porto Granfondo is expected to gather thousands of cyclists

The Porto Granfondo is expected to gather thousands of cyclists on the banks of the River Douro, Sunday morning, 29 October.

This bicycle touring takes place on open road and in a festive atmosphere. This sport discipline is for the second year running included in the official schedule of the Portuguese Cycling Federation.

The starting pistol will be fired at 9 am, in Gustavo Eiffel Avenue, next to the Ponte do Infante Bridge.

Participants may choose one of the following: the 133 km of the Granfondo or the 67 km of Mediofondo. Both distances require mandatory use of a helmet approved for competitions.

There will be conditioning of traffic in the city during the day, especially in the Gustavo Eiffel and Paiva Couceiro Avenues and in Luís I Bridge.
