The Ó! Galeria joins Porto Planetarium to present a collective exhibition themed ‘Cosmos: Uma Nova Odisseia Ilustrada’ [“Cosmos: A New Illustrated Odyssey”, free translation], based in the iconic TV series by Carl Sagan. The exhibit is already available online at Porto Planetarium website.

The Ó! Galeria invited 13 illustrators to convey their graphic narrative of an episode of the iconic TV series hosted by Car Sagan, in the 1989’s and later on, in 2014 by Neil deGrasse Tyson. The result is the exhibition themed “Cosmos: Uma Nova Odisseia Ilustrada” and it can be appreciated in-person at the Ó! Galeria, between 27th November and 9th December or online, at the Porto Planetarium website- Living Science Centre, partner of the Ó! In this initiative.

Carl Sagan co-created and hosted a 13-part PBS television series, “Cosmos”. The most famous scientist in America – and in the wold – was also an astronomer, planetary, cosmologist, astrophysicist, astrobiologist, author, poet, and science communicator. His TV shows, whose seasons were later hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson, feature science in a way that it is more than a body of language, it is a way of thinking.

How about discovering new possible worlds? Are you up for the adventure of science? The exhibition includes drawings by Joana Estrela, André Caetano, Paulo Patrício, Fátima Bravo, Miss Lazy Fat Cat, Alexandre Fuentefria, Sérgio Marques, Kev Odyssey, Mariana Malhão, Mantraste, Biacosta, Bárbara R. and Ivo Hoogveld.
