There is more to Portugal than its capital city, affirms Forbes magazine, highlighting Porto as one of Portugal’s most stunning cities.

Everyone is literally craving for ‘that trip’ to happen or to ‘go away’ for a few days as we all hope the pandemic starts to fade out. Forbes magazine is offering tips on that and it comes as no surprise that they have hinted a visit to one of the most stunning municipalities in Portugal: Porto.

The article presents Porto as a best choice for “your next Iberian vacation”. As Forbes puts it, there is more to our country than the capital city, as “Portugal is packed with a wide variety of fascinating cities stretching from the outskirts of Lisbon up to the northern reaches of the country”.

Porto is a destination that offers “spectacular food and drink scene, stunning architecture, and historic city center. From the stately Bolsa Palace to the unmistakable Torre dos Clérigos to the vibrant Chapel of Souls, Porto is a veritable treasure trove of gorgeous structures unlike any other found on earth”, so reads Forbes.

The American magazine is not left wanting as regards advising visitors not to miss the traditional ‘francesinha’, originally from Porto; the sandwich is made with bread, wet-cured ham, sausage, steak or roast meat, covered with melted cheese and a hot and thick spiced tomato and beer sauce, typically served with French fries.

All we add is “Bon Voyage”!
