Porto is a finalist in two world categories at the World Travel Awards 2022

Porto is in the running for two world awards at the World Travel Awards 2022, the awards known as the “Oscars” of tourism. After being voted Best City Destination in Europe 2022, Porto now integrates the finalists for the world awards in the categories “World's Leading City Destination” and “World's Leading Heritage City Destination”.

Voting in the World Travel Awards categories takes place online until October 20 and the winners will be known at the final gala in Oman on November 11.

In the final of this world competition, Porto has the possibility of obtaining the highest global recognition in travel and tourism, in the categories “Best City Destination in the World” and “Best Heritage City Destination in the World”, a unique distinction in the industry.

It is recalled that on October 1, Porto was distinguished as the Best City Destination in Europe 2022, in the continental competition of the World Travel Awards, an award that once again placed the city in the elite of the best European destinations, surpassing the competition of cities such as Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Geneva, Lisbon, London, Lyon, Rome, Venice and Vienna.
