Porto's Economic Development Strategy, called Pulsar, involves a direct investment of approximately 600 million euros by the end of the decade. The presentation is scheduled for next Friday, May 13, at 4 pm, in the Auditorium of the Super Bock Arena - Pavilhão Rosa Mota.

The session will be attended by the European Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Elisa Ferreira, as the lead speaker, and the mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira, who will close. The opening will be in charge of the councillor of the Department of Economy, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Ricardo Valente.

There will also be an interactive round table with questions from the audience present. António Parada, CEO of FairJourney Biologics, Hermano Rodrigues, main EY Partner, Joana Resende, pro-rector of Planning, Entrepreneurship and Knowledge Transfer at the University of Porto and Luis Filipe Reis, CEO of Sonae Financial Services and Sonae Fashion, are part of this discussion panel, and the moderation is assumed by Joana Amorim, journalist for Jornal de Notícias.

Porto's Economic Development Strategy aims to become a guiding light for economic development for the next decade, relying on the authenticity and charisma of the city. Pulsar is implemented in 10 projects, involving a direct investment of approximately 600 million euros by the end of the decade, considering the sources of financing for the new structural programming period. Thus, the unprecedented volume of funding foreseen and conveyed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and the NextGeneration EU are a unique opportunity to catalyze and finance future projects that will allow economic recovery, as well as position Porto and the region as a reference in climate and digital transitions.

The Pulsar development process is the result of the collective reflection of entities that have a direct and indirect impact on the economic development of the city, with the participation of several strategic actors from civil and local society, public and private institutions and the business ecosystem.

Participation in the session is subject to prior registration available online.
