The start of the ping! – Incursion Programme to the Gallery happens on Thursday, 29th April, at 7 pm, during a conference with Michael Marder at the auditorium of Almeida Garrett municipal Library.

The conference is themed “Que tipo de crianças somos nós? Um caso para o cultivo vegetal da humanidade” (”what type of children are we? It is a case for Humankind plant cultivation”, free translation) and the author will approach issues related to the interaction of the human and the plant world, as well as ways to perfect this interaction. The talk is moderated by curator and architect Mariana Pestana.

Michael Marder is a professor and researcher at the department of philosophy of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU), holds a PhD in Philosophy by The New School for Social Research (USA), and he is an expert in Political Theory, phenomenology, environment philosophy and ecological thinking.

This event is preceded by a presentation of ping! three axes and the cross cutting programmes, as well as the 2021 programming.

Both sessions are free and will be conveyed in Portuguese. Prior collection of the ticket is mandatory (maximum 2 people), starting at 10 am the same day of the event. Book your seat in advance via the email galeriamunicipal@agoraporto.pt
