Parque Desportivo de Ramalde hosts international football tournament

The second edition of the Porto International Cup is scheduled for April 6, 7 and 8. The tournament, organized by O-Sports with municipal support, through Ágora, will bring together, in Parque Desportivo de Ramalde, young footballers born between 2004 and 2013, representing Portuguese and foreign teams.

Among the 12 registered to date, there are clubs from various positions. Playing at home are the Associação Desportiva e Recreativa da Pasteleira and Futebol Clube do Porto. From other areas of Portugal come the Fundação Pauleta (Ponta Delgada), Gil Vicente Futebol Clube (Barcelos), GDRC "Os Sandinenses" and Vitória Sport Clube (both from Guimarães) and Sport Clube Valenciano (Valença). And from abroad, join the Association Sportive de Truitier (Haiti), Montrouge Footballa Club 92 (France), Talentprojekt (Germany), TRAC Covered Bridge (United States of America) and Voetbalvereniging Spijkenisse (Netherlands).

In the men's sector, the competition is divided into the U11, U13, U15, U17 and U19 categories, while on the women's side there will only be competition in the last two age groups. On April 6 (Thursday), the group stage matches of each category will be played, on 7 (Friday) the qualifiers and on 8 (Saturday) the finals. The public can watch all matches free of charge.

In parallel to the tournament, the Porto Football Youth Summit takes place, a seminar that hopes to bring together about 500 participants, including coaches, sports directors, athletes, fans, health professionals, representatives of institutions, companies and other agents with an interest in methodologies associated with training football.
