DDD continues celebrating the world of dance and, these days, there are essential performances such as SIRI, by Jorge Jácome & Marco da Silva Ferreira, on 30th April, at 7 pm, at the Theatre Campo Alegre.

Fuelled by a tentative lab, SIRI goes over several binomial, such as material, immaterial; stability and speed; physical and psychological, challenge and fear; human and technological, putting forward a choreographic focus on what exists and haunts us.

Later today, on 29th April, the performance Viaduto, by Renan Martins & Frankão (PT/BR) premieres at the Auditório Municipal de Gaia, at 7 pm.

Viaduto takes on the concept of party and deconstructs the concept by means of search, observation and viewing, then by means of experience and contemplation, adding layers of pulses that lead to the architectural viaduct.

Also today, but in Viana do Castelo, the performance Os Três Irmãos, by Victor Hugo Pontes and an original text by Gonçalo M. Tavares, takes to the Teatro Municipal de Sá de Miranda, in Viana do Castelo, at 7 pm, following a first presentation at the Rivoli.

Abelard, Adler and Hadrian meet at the non-place, where they search for traces of their parents and chalk their absence. The three wash, eat and carry each other’s bodies in a ritualized practice, playing the dangerous game of meeting the past.

The DDD – Days of Dance Festival 2021 kick started on 20th April, with a full agenda of 22 performances, 16 of which world premieres or national productions, and 11 coproduction, of which six are from the Northern Region.

No Palco / Em Casa [On Stage/At Home”, free translation], until 30th April, DDD festival takes to the online platform or in-person, in main concert halls in Porto, Gaia, Matosinhos and, for the first time, in Viana do Castelo, an edition that is held under the patronage of BPI and the Foundation “la Caixa”.
