Olympic athlete Angélica André is sponsored by the Porto. brand while preparing to compete in the Olympic Games Tkyo 2020.
The Municipality of Porto, via the municipal company Ágora, signed a sponsorship deal with the elite swimmer of the Clube Fluvial Portuense, under the support to the sporting activity and the fact that this will promote the international projection of the city’s name and the country.
Angélica André is part of the delegation that will represent Portugal at the Olympic Games and is currently performing a training stage in the altitude-training centre in Sierra Nevada, in Spain, for three weeks, with the municipal support. The 27-year old athlete, who represents the Clube Fluvial Portuense in the Open-Water modality, has already participated in several European and world Championships and holds several wins in pool and open-water competitions at national level.
The Olympic Games were postponed one year due to Covid-19, and will take place between 23 July and 8 August, in Japan.
