Municipal Police cars are circulating through town to advise and urge citizens to stay indoors. Since Sunday morning, police cars drive around Porto spreading the messages "Stay at home", "We can't, but you can", "Help us fight coronavirus", "#StayHome in four languages (Portuguese, French, English and Spanish).

Residents from Porto have responded with a magnificent sense of civic mindedness, which was already commended by the Mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira.

However, it is worth reminding everyone that we are, as individuals and as a community, responsible for fighting the spread of coronavirus, both in the city and in the country.

This is the intention of the municipality of Porto by launching this campaign to urge people to stay indoors as much as possible.

So, "For us, for you, now #StayHome", so that we can go back to being the inviting and open city that Porto is.
