Minister of the Presidency of Brazil received by Rui Moreira

The minister of the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic of Brazil, Luiz Eduardo Ramos, visited, on Friday, the Council Chambers, where he was received by the Mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira.

The reception took place in Sala D. Maria II, in the building of the Council Chambers and arose in the context of the preparation of the celebration of the 200 years of Independence of Brazil, which will take place this year, in September, in the brother country. The Brazilian ruler was quite satisfied with the possibility of counting with the presence of D. Pedro’s heart in the celebrations. “Brazil’s emotion in receiving D. Pedro’s heart is so strong that it runs the risk of beating again”, underlined Luiz Eduardo Ramos.

The Brazilian delegation, in addition to Luiz Eduardo Ramos, was made up of the Deputy Consul General, Júlio César Júnior, and the minister’s advisor, George Hobert Lisboa. The Mayor of Porto was accompanied by his chief of staff, Vasco Ribeiro. In the end, Luiz Eduardo Ramos signed the book of honour and visited some spaces in the Council Chambers, and there was also an exchange of presents between Rui Moreira and Luiz Eduardo Ramos.
