The project “AtlaS.WH – Atlantic Area Heritage: Sustainability of World Heritage Urban Sites”, led by the city of Porto, by Porto City Hall and by Porto Vivo, SRU, invites the community, visitors and tourists included, to actively participate in the draft of the Management and Sustainability Plan for the “Historic Centre of Porto, Luiz I Bridge and the Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar”.

Thus, Porto Vivo, SRU planned a survey to present to city residents, visitors and tourists of the Historic Centre of Porto. Replying the survey will allow to ascertain key aspects that are to be included in the new Management and Sustainability Plan for the site classified as World Heritage. There are two versions of the survey available, one in Portuguese and another in English.

The survey is a simple form, available online until the 14th February (click on this link)

The AtlaS.WH project, cofinanced by the Interreg Espaço Atlântico programme through the European Fund for Regional Development, includes an international partnership of five World Heritage cities, namely Porto, Bordeaux, Florence, Edinburgh and Santiago de Compostela.

This partnership, led by Porto and highlighted by UNESCO, elaborates on the common challenges of the different World Heritage cities in the protection of the identity and valorisation of World Heritage Urban Sites. The main goal is to study new management models and the establishments of innovative approaches in several areas within the sites and in the framework of their daily lives.
