You don’t need an excuse to start getting physical; but if you do: the sun is here and it is time to show some skin. Nice weather, sunny days usually mean summer is here and with it the willingness to stay outdoors until late or even to take every opportunity to just be outside and exercising all senses. The University of Porto, namely the University Sports Centre of the University of Porto (CDUP-UP) prepared an entire month of outdoor free classes for the entire community. These are the special UPFit sessions, which will happen every Saturday morning during June at the University Stadium of Porto and at the Luís Falcão Pavilion. Sessions are free, but prior registration is mandatory.

Class number one is set for 5 June, and includes aCircuit Training session at the Luís Falcão Pavilion. The agenda for this next month also features Tai Chi sessions at the University Stadium, on 12 June; Pilates at the Luís Falcão Pavilion, on 19 June and again Circuit Training at the University Stadium, on 26 June. Classes last for about one hour, between 10 am and 11 am, and the main goal is to make families embrace the benefits of physical activities outdoors.

All preventive safety measures are in place to ensure that the Sports Centre of the University of Porto is able to welcome everyone in a safely manner, so each session has limited availability.

There is no need for a specific training material. Participants should bring a bottle of water, towel and comfortable clothing.
