The University of Porto launches the UPFit Challenge, starting on 15th March, with the goal of promoting physical exercise. This is “a unique challenge”, as stated by the organisation. And participants also get the opportunity to win awards. Apply today. Let’s move!

The main objective, by UPFit Challenge is to boost a routine change, starting on 15th March, by the U.Porto Sports Centre (CDUP-UP). The programme features several physical activities to be performed on a weekly basis, and participants get to add points and win prizes, accordingly.

The first phase of the event kicks off on 15th March and concludes on 10th April. Any member of the UPFit programme is eligible to take part. Applications are free and everyone can apply (see HERE). The group teams draw will be performed live, on 13th March. For more information contact the organisation via phone number 22 2074164 or at geral@cdup.up.pt.

“Challenges vary; they may be performing a physical activity or even bring a friend along to the UPFit programme, or even perform a particular challenge by the programme’s trainers or share a photo on social media posting one of the many recipes by the nutritionists team at CDUP-UP”, the institution states in a news release.

UPFit Challenge is all about “encouraging the entire community to practice regular sports activities, as well as raising awareness on the importance of a healthy diet”, as explained by Joana Carvalho, pro-rector of U.Porto for Sports, furthering that “this will enhance the sense of belonging within the community”.

This challenge concludes on 10th April. Perspective participants should apply here.
