The latest investment received by Infraspeak, a specialist in infrastructure and maintenance management software amounts to ten million euros. The financing will allow the start-up founded in Porto to reinforce its presence in Europe and increase its team.

This recent Series A investment round (which takes place at a time when start-ups have already developed the product, a client base and a steady stream of revenue) was accompanied by the opening of the new headquarters in the city, a recently refurbished space in Bonfim, to keep up with the company’s growth with regard - also – to workplaces.

Currently with 110 employees, and offices spread across Barcelona, London, and Florianopolis, Infraspeak intends to double its team, next year, while preparing to enter the German, Austrian, Swiss and French markets.

For the vice-mayor of Porto, Filipe Araújo, who attended the inauguration of the new offices, the company is “a true example of the importance of investing in the promotion of technological entrepreneurship developed by the city, through the ScaleUp Porto initiative, that aims to support and promote companies with high growth potential”.

The, also, councilman for Innovation and Digital Transition reinforces that the work developed by the city’s entrepreneurs and the results achieved show the importance of investing in the connection between the city and areas of knowledge, such as the University of Porto and the Politécnico. “

“Such connection”, says Filipe Araújo, “promotes the creation of highly technological companies, also allowing the retention of highly qualified human resources in the region”, factors that prove to be “determinant for the development of the city and region”.

We recall that the city of Porto, through the ScaleUp Porto initiative, has followed up Infraspeak’s path since its creation, having referred to the start-up in Porto Start and Scale Guide, published in 2016, due to its innovative character and potential of growth already registered then.

More recently, the IT company participated in the Start & Scale 2021 week of ScaleUp Porto, under the motto “Future Shapers”.

Founded in 2015, Infraspeak has clients such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, the Hilton Hotels or Engie, in a total portfolio that exceeds 500 companies, managers and service providers, in areas including hospitality, healthcare, education and transport, in Portugal and 16 other countries.

“The future of facilities management software involves flexibility, intelligence and integration, to allow each team to adapt the software to their own needs. Infraspeak is the only platform that consolidates all operational tools and workflows in a single solution, and this is just the beginning”, explains Felipe Ávila da Costa, co-founder, and executive director of Infraspeak.
