i3S Scientific platforms Open Day will take place 2 October and its main aim is to identify existing research capacity in i3S and seek to enhance networking and synergies, both at academic level and at businesses level, namely  life sciences area, health care and service.

This Open Day will be the privileged opportunity to meet our experts, visit the labs and discover the state-of-the-art technology available at i3S to the scientific community.

The i3S consortium is headed by the UPorto and brings together institutions and researchers from several schools of Porto University. The long-term collaboration between IBMC, INEB and IPATIMUP, from which stems i3S, comprises joint projects, co-supervision of PhD students, equipment sharing and research staff mobility.

Six schools of the UPorto (FMUP, ICBAS, FMDUP, FCUP, FEUP and FFUP) and three hospitals (CH S João, CH Porto and IPO) are also part of i3S' activities.

The new building - completed in 2015 - is also a key element in the creation of this vibrant research and technology environment, which is focused on three Integrative Programs: Cancer, Host Response and Interaction, and Neurobiology and Neurologic Disease.

Each time slot has a limit of 5 participants. If you were not able to schedule a visit to a Scientific Platform due to lack of availability, please send a message to the contact person of that Scientific Platform (check http://www.i3s.up.pt/research/scientific-platforms for contacts)

The participation in the i3S scientific platforms Open Day is free but previous registration is required.
