The Municipal Library Almeida Garrett opens doors to family activities as of October, following a shutdown period due to the ongoing pandemic.

All activities are free, but prior registration is mandatory as room availability is limited in line with the health measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus. Occupancy availability is limited to 10 children plus one adult per children. Prior registration is mandatory via email bmp@cm-porto.pt.

The first Saturday of each month, till 2020 ends, the Municipal Library Almeida Garrett resumes the Children's stories project read in English.

The first session kicks off on 3rd October, at 3.30pm and participants will be invited to the reading of the English short story "Guess how much I miss you in the autumn", delivered by the British Council.

The main goal is to provide children with an original and enjoyable way to learn a language, free of charge, all the while boosting their taste for reading.
