The rebranding of Porto Municipal Theatre and the identity of the Bolhão Temporary Market, which were developed by the Studio Eduardo Aires, have been distinguished at the International Design Competition Graphis Awards 2019.

Porto Municipal Theatre won the Gold Graphis Award and the identity project of Bolhão Temporay Market received an honourable mention.

This is not a first for projects related to the city branding of the Invicta - "Porto." - which was established in 2014 by the Municipality of Porto.

This very same award had been granted to Porto city Hall in 2015, by the graphic design of "Porto.", designed by the Eduardo Aires Studio.

Graphis was founded in 1944 by Walter Herdeg and Dr. Walter Amstutz in Zurich, Switzerlan, and later moved the headquarters to New York City. This international publisher of books on communication design annually presents and promotes the best submitted work in Design, Advertising, Photography and Art/Illustration, which are then selected for following categories: Best Platinum, Gold, and Silver awards.

In addition, Honourable Mentions are also archived permanently on Graphis' website.
